Saki Corporation and Cogiscan Win Circuits Assembly's New Product Introduction Award for Electronics Assembly Production Software

Feb 18, 2020

Saki Corporation, an innovator in the field of automated optical and X-ray inspection and measurement equipment, announces that it has been presented with the Circuits Assembly New Product Introduction award in the electronics assembly production software category. Based on Cogiscan's Factory Intelligence platform, SAKI's advanced QD Analyzer software suite offers detailed production performance and defect analysis for all SAKI's 3D solder paste inspection (SPI), automated optical inspection (AOI), and automated X-ray inspection (AXI) machines.

"SAKI is honored to be recognized by Circuits Assembly for its electronics manufacturing production software," said Norihiro Koike, president of Saki Corporation. "Our collaboration with Cogiscan in the development of our QD Analyzer software suite enables Saki's customers to recognize and solve manufacturing issues more quickly, while embracing a data-driven approach to continuous improvement. Our customers will be able to enhance their productivity and quality through Smarter Manufacturing."

"We greatly appreciate the opportunity to work with SAKI to create this challenging and outstanding product over our core platform," said Sylvain Perron, product manager at Cogiscan. "QD Analyzer is a great product that will help customers both identify and correct quality-driven inspection problems with quick data retrieval and access to inspection images within the software platform. Our strong partnership and collaboration allowed us to combine the performance of SAKI's inspection machines with Cogiscan's expertise in database analytics."

The NPI award was presented at the IPC APEX EXPO, which was held in San Diego, California, from February 4-6, 2020. Entries were judged on creativity and innovation, compatibility with existing technology, cost-effectiveness, design, expected reliability, flexibility, expected maintainability/repairability, performance, user-friendliness, and speed/throughput.

Cogiscan Inc., based in Québec, Canada, provides track, trace, and control (TTC) solutions for the electronics manufacturing industry.
