Mar 20, 2017 iTAC Software AG has won the Experton Group’s Industry 4.0/IoT-Vendor Benchmark 2017 Award. Dieter Meuser, CTO of iTAC, accepted the award for the iTAC.IoT.Platform at a gala evening in Schlosshotel Kronberg on February 8. The Industry 4.0 platform delivers smart solutions for production process connectivity, automation and analysis.
The Experton Group performs an independent benchmarking to evaluate and rate the leading IoT vendors in the German market. iTAC Software AG was selected as ‘Industry 4.0/IoT Leader Germany’ in the category of ‘Industry 4.0 Platforms’. The fact that iTAC has been a public cloud MES pioneer and smart factory solution leader since 2011 played an important role in the selection decision.
The award-winning iTAC.IoT.Platform is a vertical public cloud IoT platform for small and medium-sized enterprises. It is based on infrastructure components (IaaS) from leading horizontal IoT platforms such as MS Azure, IBM Bluemix, AWS etc. The middleware components for the iTAC.IoT.Platform are based on the Java EE iTAC.AppServer and the Container Framework Docker (PaaS). The software applications (SaaS) offered on the iTAC.IoT.Platform for SMEs are encapsulated into a docker container and derived from the iTAC-MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and APS (Advanced Planning and Scheduling) by iTAC‘s subsidiary DUALIS.
