Juki Automation Systems, Inc. (JAS, Inc.), a world-leading provider of automated assembly products and part of Juki Corporation, announces that Argentina-based Newsan Group has been invited to join its 25k tour and celebration on behalf of JAS, Inc. The tour will include three Juki manufacturing facilities located in Akita, Japan, the JISSO PROTEC 2012 exhibition and the celebration of the 25,000th shipment worldwide.
The Newsan group is a leading company in the consumer electronics and home appliances market in Argentina. The company relies on its eight IC placers from Juki, most of which are KE-2080 High-Speed Modular Mounters, to build consumer electronics including LCD TVs, DVDs, Blu-rays, netbooks, notebooks, digital cameras, air conditioners, microwave ovens, etc. Additionally, the company has plans to acquire new dispensers this year.
Francisco Saralegui, Newsan’s SMT Manager, will join the tour as a special guest of Juki Automation Systems. “Juki has been an excellent partner, and the KE-2080 platform with the full laser alignment for placement is a terrific tool to reduce scrap and defect rates,” commented Saralegui. “I expect that from attending this tour, we will discover even more new technologies from Juki to reduce Newsan’s costs.”
Newsan Group is responsible for manufacturing 90 percent of consumer electronics products and home appliances produced at the four plants owned by the group in Ushuaia. The plants occupy 10,800 m2 and each one produces specific items. All of the plants work under Promotional law N° 19640 of the Province of Tierra del Fuego.
