In February 2013 Essemtec, the Swiss manufacturer of production systems for electronics, set up a company profile on LinkedIn. The new platform provides useful company and technological information as well as a comprehensive product overview.
Two years after establishing a Facebook site, Essemtec now is also represented on LinkedIn. “We’ve received very good feedback from our Facebook fans,” said Florian Schildein, Essemtec’s marketing and sales manager. “For this reason, we decided to be represented with a company profile on the business platform LinkedIn as well. Now we can inform our target customers in an even better way.”
LinkedIn was launched in 2003 and reports more than 200 million acquired users in more than 200 countries and territories. It is the world’s largest business network and is mainly used for professional networking. In September 2012, LinkedIn added the notifications feature, which is well known from Facebook.
New products, updates, applications and events – Essemtec constantly provides new information on LinkedIn. In addition to press releases, application and technical reports, followers will receive invitations for upcoming events and trade shows.
