Seika Machinery, Inc., a leading provider of advanced machinery, materials and engineering services, announces that Michelle Ogihara, Senior Sales Director, will co-chair the Moisture Sensitive Device (MSD) Council meeting during the upcoming SMTA International Conference & Exhibition. The meeting is scheduled to take place Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 2 p.m. in Room 104 at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Texas.
Ogihara will co-chair the meeting with Mumtaz Bora of Peregrine Semiconductor and Co-Chair of the MSD Council, who will provide an MSD Standards Update on Packages/PWBs. The meeting will include the latest updates on MSD and PCB/PWB storage and handling guidelines and standards and procedures. Steve Martell of Sonoscan, guest speaker and expert on the topic will provide JEDEC Moisture Sensitivity updates for 2013. Additionally, the meeting will include discussion about MSD implementation and conclude with a Question and Answer session.
The council is a voluntary group, under the auspices of the SMTA, dedicated to advancing the understanding and practice of moisture sensitive devices control in electronic assembly procedures and practices.
