Nov 12, 2014 IPC’s Validation Services Program has awarded the first IPC/WHMA-A-620 Qualified Manufacturers Listing (QML) to IEC Electronics Corporation’s Newark, New York and Albuquerque, New Mexico locations; and Southern California Braiding facility in Bell Gardens, California.
The three facilities were the first to successfully complete an intensive audit to IPC/WHMA-A-620, Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies. The sites met or exceeded the requirements for the electronics industry’s most rigorous classification, Class 3, which is intended for high-performance electronics assemblies. As a result, the company will be listed as an IPC-trusted source capable of manufacturing in accordance with industry best practices. IEC Electronics was among the first companies to participate in IPC’s new Validations Services QPL/QML Program which was launched in 2013 and was the first to earn a QML to IPC-J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 standards. Developed to promote supply chain verification, the program provides auditing and certification of electronics companies’ products and processes which conform to IPC standards.
