Kurtz Ersa North America, a leading supplier of electronics production equipment, today announced that Navitas Systems, LLC has purchased and installed its HR600 hybrid rework system and i-CON VARIO 4 multi-channel soldering and de-soldering station. Navitas Systems is a leading provider of energy-enabled system solutions, energy storage products, and power electronics for commercial, industrial and government/military customers.
States M. Mead, VP of Manufacturing at Navitas commented, “I chose the ERSA HR600 because the automated component placement and heating technology give Navitas Systems cutting-edge rework capabilities and an edge over our competition.”
The HR 600 is equipped with a highly dynamic and efficient heating technology with the bottom-side heating (2,400 W) divided into three independent heating zones. The newly developed hybrid top-side emitter provides 800 W of heating power and combines the advantages of infrared heating with those of a convection heater.
The i-CON VARIO 4 offers whisper-quiet air and vacuum generation for up to four simultaneously operating soldering and de-soldering tools. The station ensures highly efficient processing of all SMT and THT soldering tasks. In addition to the 200W i-Tool AIR S, it offers the i-Tool Universal Soldering Device, the THT De-soldering X-tool Iron, and the Ultra-Fine De-soldering Chip Tool VARIO (2 x 40W).
Headquartered in a state-of-the-art 100,000 square foot facility in Woodridge, Illinois, Navitas Systems is a one-stop shop for comprehensive energy and power electronics solutions. Navitas Systems products range from customized energy storage solutions for motive, idle-reduction and defense related applications, along with custom renewable energy integrated power systems, to standard products like lithium based lead-acid replacement batteries.
