MicroCare Corp. is pleased to announce it has been honored with the 2016 Service Excellence Award sponsored by North American technical journal, Circuits Assembly. MicroCare won in the category of “Cleaning, Processing or Materials.”  The award was presented to MicroCare at the IPC Apex Expo in Las Vegas. It was the first time MicroCare had entered this awards program, now in its 24th year.

The Award was accepted by the Dan Sinclair, the MicroCare National Sales Manager. "This award acknowledges that it takes a strong team to deliver quality customer service," he said. “From the team in our factory, to the service coordinators who process the orders and the warehouse team that picks and ships, every single one of them strives to do it perfectly, first time and every time.”

Sponsored by Circuits Assembly, the “Service Excellence Award for Electronics Manufacturing Services Providers and Suppliers” honors companies that excel at customer service. The program allows participants to compare their performance to their peers in customer satisfaction.

The Award collects survey opinions of clients of each candidate company. The survey scrutinizes company performance across five performance parameters: dependability, quality/accuracy, responsiveness, product technology, and value. The results of the survey are independently tabulated, which makes the Award all the more significant.

MicroCare delivered outstanding customer service in 2015, according to the survey results. MicroCare scored an average of 6.67 points on a scale of 1-7. Client comments included “They are responsive and follow-up on details” and “I have never had one quality issue with a MicroCare product.” Another reported, “[MicroCare] is acutely attentive to our needs.”

Tom Tattersall, MicroCare Chief Operating Officer, stated that MicroCare will incorporate the client feedback into the company’s continuous improvement program.

“There is nothing more important at MicroCare than pleasing our clients,” he said. “Our emphasis on quality and service flows through the entire organization. Customer service isn’t a department at MicroCare, it’s a way of life.”

Entrants with the highest ratings are honored at an awards ceremony held at the IPC Apex Expo. Each year, Circuits Assembly also donates a portion of the proceeds from participants' entry fees to the SMTA's Charles Hutchins Educational Grant. To date, $84,000 has been awarded.
