Saelig Company, Inc. announces the availability of the TEA6000-95 0.1 to 6GHz Digital Attenuator. This new RF signal attenuator operates over a 0.1 to 6 GHz frequency range and can reduce input signal amplitudes by up to 95dB in 0.5dB steps. It features excellent solid-state repeatability and performance, and the output signal is uninterrupted when changing attenuation values. It is powered and controlled using a USB interface.
With a power rating of +23dBm and a maximum switching speed of 1usecond, the TEA6000-95 RF Digital Attenuator operates as a programmable signal attenuator for simulating fading or for limit testing. It is a true USB device, allowing up to 128 devices to be controlled by a single Windows PC or Linux computer. The GUI supplied with the unit allows the user to setup, control, and perform test measurements over a standard USB 2.0 communication interface.
The user can also create custom software to control the unit using the Application Programming Interface (API). The API is available in both a Windows and a Linux version. The Windows version of the API is .NET based, making it compatible with many programming languages including VB.NET, C++, C#, LabView, Agilent VEE, and MATLAB, etc.
The TEA6000-95 RF Digital Attenuator is ideal for creating automated test equipment (ATE), as well as for making WiMAX, LTE, WiFi, or 3G/4G fading simulators in engineering and production test laboratory environments. Telemakus’ complete range of RF module types can be used as separate components to replace existing test equipment, or they can be used together to create an entire test system. With a module selection that includes signal generators, vector modulators, power meters, step attenuators and switches, it is simple to construct complex ATE stations such as multi-tone testing or virtual scalar analyzers. This makes for an extremely portable RF test solution that can be slipped into the pocket of a laptop bag, ready for field work at a moment’s notice.
Made by Telemakus, a leading innovative RF design house, the TEA6000-95 0.1 to 6GHz Digital Attenuator is available now from Saelig Company, Inc. Fairport, NY, (http://www.saelig.com) Telemakus’ authorized US distributor.
