Sep 08, 2016 Industry-leading associations IPC and SMTA jointly announce the High-Reliability Cleaning and Conformal Coating Conference, scheduled to take place October 25-27, 2016 at Hyatt Rosemont, Rosemont, IL. The conference is focused on best practices for designing, cleaning and coating highly dense electronic assemblies to assure reliability in today’s mobile society.
Siva Sivasankar of Google will give the Keynote address on “Building Reliable Hardware.”
Siva will approach Quality and Reliability based on an understanding of the “Physics and Chemistry” of failures in electronics, with particular emphasis on the importance of the use environment. Siva will share his philosophy in applying a three-pronged methodology to reliability – Reliability Risk Assessment, Reliability Modeling, and Reliability Testing. Siva will cover examples and anecdotes based on his experience in electronics quality and reliability over the years, including how to tailor appropriate accelerants in reliability testing to target specific failure mechanisms and some approaches to integrating reliability testing and prediction.
