Counterfeit Electronic Parts Symposium Program Finalized and Registration Now Open Online

Oct 08, 2010

Minneapolis, MN - SMTA and CALCE are pleased to announce that the program for the Counterfeit Electronic Parts and Electronic Supply Chain Symposium is finalized and available on-line at http://www.smta.org/counterfeit and registration is open. The event will take place November 30 to December 2, 2010, at the University of Maryland in College Park, MD.

Two panel discussions will help kick off the program on Tuesday, November 30. Robin Gray, NEDA, will moderate the Electronic Distribution Panel Discussion. Sydney Pope, US Department of Defense, will moderate the Federal Procurement Panel. The symposium continues on Wednesday, December 1, with an Opening Presentation called "Where Are We in the Industry?" by Brian Hughitt, NASA.

The final day, Thursday, December 2, will feature workshops led by CALCE/University of Maryland, IDEA, Integra Technologies, and the Global Intellectual Property Strategy Center. Workshop instructors deliver focused, in-depth presentations on topics of timely importance, based on their research and industry experience.

The conference is organized by SMTA in conjunction with the Center for Advanced Life Cycle Engineering (CALCE) at the University of Maryland. This symposium will be valuable to supply chain managers, component engineers, brand protection specialists, marketing and procurement policy makers, contracts management, security specialists and other interested engineers. Our focus is to provide relevant information to the professionals that can be used for solving problems today while planning for a different business and technology environment in the future.
