Mark's appointment to VP Americas at Speedprint is a key step in the company’s strategic move into North and South America. In this position, he will lead the sales and service force for Speedprint in both the North and South American markets.
Brawley stated, "I am thrilled to have the opportunity to build upon the success Speedprint has established throughout Europe. This has been founded on innovative design, exceptional user experience and value for the money. I believe customers in the Americas will quickly appreciate the value in Speedprint’s unique approach that removes the complexity from the printing process without compromising print quality."
Derek Gaston, Blakell Europlacer Group Managing Director, said, "We are delighted to have Mark on board to lead this exciting expansion of Speedprint into the North and South American marketplace. His experience will prove invaluable to our customers as we build upon our reputation for reliability, quality, value and ease of use that we know will translate clearly with users across the globe."
Mark joins Speedprint from DEK, where he worked for the past 15 years, and held the titles of Americas’ Assistant General Manager and Americas’ Sales Manager. As DEK’s Assistant GM, Mark also directed efforts in the service and application engineering areas to support North and South America through a network of direct and indirect channels. He worked closely with DEK’s SMT engineering group, providing field feedback to define and prioritize product development activity.
Prior to his tenure at DEK, Brawley spent nine years in various positions at TDK Corporation where he managed sales channels for the company’s line of automated insertion machines and pick-and-place equipment.
Speedprint Technology became a division of the Blakell Europlacer Group of companies in September 1998. Following the acquisition and re-establishment of Speedprint, the group formed a new engineering team, many of which had years of experience with locally based printer manufacturers including DEK and SMTech, to develop and enhance the company’s portfolio of products. In keeping with the ethos of the Blakell Group’s desire to offer flexible and innovative solutions to the market, Speedprint is committed to delivering affordable leading edge stencil printing technology. The realization of this ambition is clearly illustrated by the company’s flagship avi range of fully automatic inline printers. Today, Speedprint operates from a hi-tech facility based in Poole, in southern United Kingdom.
