The iTAC.MES.Suite 7 boasts standard interfaces to Assembleon, Fuji, ASM and Panasonic SMT machines
The manufacturing execution system (MES) manufacturer has incorporated standardized interfaces to Assembleon, Fuji, ASM and Panasonic SMT machines in its iTAC.MES.Suite 7. It is the only MES provider in a fast-consolidating market to implement interfaces to four leading SMT systems in parallel.
SMT placement involves the surface mounting of electronic components on circuit boards. This is a complex process in which precision and accuracy are essential from the first to the last step. The iTAC.MES.Suite 7 controls, checks and optimizes production processes.
To facilitate the seamless integration of the MES solution and all its functions in the SMT production environment, iTAC created machine-specific standard interfaces based on its API Service. This enables the seamless connection of SMT machines of different makes to facilitate the standardized and scalable integration across different machine types and brands in accordance with the customer's requirements.
Dynamic MES market
Martin Heinz, VP Operations at iTAC, explained, "We're the only MES provider to offer plug & play interfaces to these four SMT machine types. The MES market has many players, but their products differ considerably - depending on their history - in terms of concept and scope of function. Increasingly demanding quality and efficiency requirements are separate the wheat from the chaff in the manufacturing industry, especially in the electronic segment."
