Data I/O Corporation (NASDAQ: DAIO) announces that it has been awarded a 2011 EM Asia Innovation Award in the category of Programming Systems for its SuperBoost for FlashCORE III Programmers. The award was presented to the company during a May 12, 2011 ceremony that took place at the Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Center during NEPCON China 2011.
Data I/O has been able to leverage the flexible design of the FlashCORE III programming engine to create SuperBoost, delivering unsurpassed value and performance to customers. SuperBoost takes the programming speeds of the FlashCORE III, which were already the fastest in the industry, and dramatically improves the performance for memory devices that can keep up. This means that devices like e.MMC that are typically multiple Gigabytes and can take huge amounts of valuable production time to program can now be programmed in much less time than with any competitive offerings.
SuperBoost is accomplished by utilizing the reconfigurable nature of the FlashCORE III and completely re-architecting the way bytes of data are passed to the memory device. The reconfiguration enables the fastest and largest memory devices available, like e.MMC devices, to be programmed as much as 1.5X faster than before with FlashCORE III, and much faster than any competitive programmers. This feature comes at no charge to customers who own FlashCORE III programmers. Additionally, customers can simply apply the field upgrade for SuperBoosted algorithms and they are off and running.
Data I/O’s automated handling systems, FlashPAK III manual programmer and process control software applications all support FlashCORE III, allowing customers to seamlessly transfer job profiles (algorithms, data files and programming parameters) from design through manufacturing.
Established in 2006, the EMAsia Innovation Awards program strives to recognize and celebrate excellence in the Asian electronics industry, inspiring companies to achieve the highest standards and push the industry forward.
With over 35 years of expertise in delivering intellectual property to programmable devices, Data I/O offers complete, integrated manufacturing solutions in wireless, automotive, programming center, semiconductor, and industrial control market segments for OEM, ODM, EMS and semiconductor companies. Data I/O provides hardware and software solutions for turn-key programming and device testing services, as well as in-system (on-board), in-line (right before use at the SMT line), or in-socket (off-line) programming with special manufacturing options such as serialization, traceability, version control, statistical data logging, co-planarity test, and bad block management. These solutions are scalable for small, medium and large volume applications with different device mixes.
